A compassionate therapist dedicated to helping you heal from trauma and reclaim your life.
EMDRIA Certified EMDR Therapist
I believe that every person has the capacity to heal. Sometimes we just need the right support and the right tools to get there. That's what drew me to EMDR therapy — and it's why I pursued certification through EMDRIA, the gold standard in EMDR training.
I founded Thrive Trauma Therapy because I wanted to create a space where people feel truly safe — safe enough to face the difficult things, safe enough to feel their feelings, and safe enough to grow. My office in Plainwell, MI is designed to be a calm, welcoming sanctuary away from the noise of everyday life.
I specialize in working with adults who have experienced trauma — whether from a single event like an accident or assault, or from complex, ongoing experiences like childhood abuse or neglect. I also work with anxiety, depression, grief, and the many ways trauma shows up in our relationships and daily functioning.
Certified by the EMDR International Association — the highest level of EMDR competency. Requires extensive post-training supervised consultation and demonstrated clinical mastery.
LMSW-C licensure through the State of Michigan, with clinical specialization in trauma-informed care. Upholds the highest ethical standards of the social work profession.
Over a decade of clinical experience working with individuals affected by trauma, PTSD, anxiety, depression, and grief. Each client's journey has deepened my understanding of healing.
Many therapists complete basic EMDR training and begin offering it as a service. While basic training provides a foundation, EMDRIA certification represents a significantly higher level of competence. Here's the difference:
When you work with an EMDRIA Certified Therapist, you know you're getting someone who has made EMDR their area of deepest expertise — not just an add-on service.
Verify My Credentials on EMDRIA.org →Before any deep work begins, we establish a foundation of safety. I never push faster than you're ready to go. Your nervous system sets the pace, not a calendar.
You are the expert on your own experience. I bring clinical knowledge and EMDR expertise; you bring the courage to do the work. Together, we create a plan that fits your life.
I use therapies that have been rigorously researched and proven effective. EMDR is my primary modality, complemented by CBT, somatic awareness, and mindfulness techniques as needed.
Trauma affects every part of your life — your body, your relationships, your sense of self. My approach honors the whole person, not just the diagnosis.
